In October 2023 HomageFilms' cinematographer, Amar van Dijk asked me to design a poster for their short movie "Karst" that they made for the 48 hour film project in Groningen.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a timed filmmaking competition where teams create a short film, from writing to editing, within (you can guess) 48 hours. Participants are given a genre, character, prop, and line of dialogue to include in their films. The event promotes creativity, teamwork, and fast-paced production, with screenings and awards often held afterward. I had a total of 8 hours to produce this poster.
This was my second time joining HomageFilms and designing a poster for their short film for the 48hfp.

The short movie is about a guy that is in need of money, he is spending all his money on the slot machine at his local bar, in hope of winning. If he would not have the money at the end of the week, he would be screwed. My first idea was to create a slot machine with his face on it, and since I did not have a lot of time, I started designing immediately. This resulted in the poster that is shown underneath and the whole team was very happy with the results. I am looking forward to designing the 2024 edition.
